Hi there, my wife is a voice actress and will be setting up a home studio in our new house. I know a lot of people have some great experience in regards to this kind of thing on reddit, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask a few questions as to what will provide the best sound quality. I truly appreciate any help that…

Hi, I (20F) am currently in film school studying film in LA. Not trying to sound like an egotistical asshole, but I’ve always felt much bigger than to be BTS. I know I want to finish my degree at my school because learning about the industry is important to me, but acting is something I’ve been interested in for some t…

I’m 25 years old and decided I’d like to explore the acting scene even on the smallest of scale. Just something I love and am passionate about. I’m considering going back to school to study acting. I know I’m young, but in terms of starting acting I know I’m late. Most people have experience as well, but prior to this…

I’m an aspiring voice actor looking to perfect his craft and eventually jump into the industry, just like the rest of you good folks. However, I just signed a 5 year contract and won’t be out until I’m 27. In the meantime I plan on taking local classes wherever I’m stationed at and gather up quality equipment along the…

Hey! My names Alex and I am a streamer and hope to one day be a voice actor. I take both seriously. As I am moving to a new apartment (I am rather loud) and near the side of the road (you can hear traffic outside) I want to soundproof the area to avoid outside noise coming in and me coming out. The living room will be…

Basically the title. I don't know man, this pandemic has really left me (and I'm sure a lot of us) really nervous if there's a way to make this a full-time profession. I know I'm not going to quit striving to become an actor because it'd hurt more, but it's getting to the point that I'm getting overwhelmingly worried i…

As an aspiring actor, would you recommend me paying for an account at [backstage.com](https://backstage.com)? I live in Mexico so that makes me doubt it a little bit, but I have seen a lot of casting options like podcasts that could be made via zoom or other online platform. Is it a viable option to pay for it? Do you…

I was born here in California and I grew up speaking two languages. I just can’t do an asian accent.. cause well I never needed to. But then I see asian roles online and the note says “must be able to do asian accent” and I would always have to pass the role up.

Hey, I am a new voice actor well I had an interest in it for at least a couple years but its an on and off thing. Let me preface this with saying I am NOT complaining about the checks that keep popping up in my mailbox... So I'm a union member who has had 2 co-star credits. Hi! So since graduating I've had the same agent, who guided me through all of the online aspects of the business since it was all new to me. I’m a student in Maryland looking to cast actors for a short film. Its a dark/offensive comedy. I need actors for a particular fight scene.
