For those that dont know Doug Turkel, he's been a champion of helping voice actors avoid scams for decades. He's put together a ChatGPT (app? mod? filter? I dont know what to call it) that helps detect if an email you receive is a scam or not. Its a fantastic tool to prevent being taken advantage of. You can check it h…

So I recently booked a gig (super grateful), where I am playing a character who gets beat up, and she is not the most favorable person. It’s a very dramatic role, and things don’t end up well for her. I feel conflicted because in the project, I don’t look my best, I feel like I’m definitely greasy, I feel like they’ve…

For the LA actors in here — who are some theatrical managers you’d genuinely recommend for an actor who already has professional TV credits, is SAG-AFTRA, has solid current materials, and is trying to make the jump from co-star-level work into more guest stars, recurring roles, series regular opportunities, and stronge…

Hi guys! I'm looking for voice actors for my Skyrim machinima series. It's sort of a mix between Skyrim roleplay and machinima-style cutscenes, that touches on the themes of morality and then unexpectedly goes meta. As the plot serves more like an extension to the Skyrim's already existing story, many voices would have…

Hi everyone! I'm a new voice actor here that's naturally an over thinker, I've seen storyboards for animated movies before and in my project aswell that I'm in, they have people that aren't the actors voice in the story board first to I assume get the correct tone and mood. How do we record over that? Do we watch the s…

So I'll cut straight to the chase, me and my group of friends like to cast and perform musicals together, and I'm really dead-set on playing Audrey II in Little Shop of Horrors (and potentially Hermes in Hades Town). One piece of advice for voice actors: take your name seriously. This might seem like a small thing, but I think your professional name is worth putting some thought into.
